Tazo Delights is a speculative campaign concept developed for ELVTR's Creative Advertising program, where it earned an exceptional rating. The work spans full campaign concepting, copywriting, and art direction.
Tazo needed a way to reintroduce its quartet of regenerative tea blends without sounding preachy about sustainability, a topic consumers are increasingly tuning out. The tension was real: how do you market a "good for you, good for the planet" product to people who have already decided their individual choices don't matter enough to change? The challenge wasn't just awareness. It was relevance.
The answer was to meet people exactly where they already are: making light of impending doom while running their silly little errands and buying their silly little treats. "Little treats solve big problems" works as a double entendre — it nods to the environmental stakes while tapping into the self-soothing, indulgent behavior that already drives purchase decisions. The campaign pairs that positioning with an influencer-led social strategy built around #TazoTreats and a co-branded collaboration with Nothing Bundt Cakes, turning a sustainability message into something shareable, craveable, and culturally fluent. The visual world leans into maximalist fantasy rather than earnest green-brand tropes, making the brand feel approachable, fun, and anything but pretentious.
Completing this project solo (after losing my entire team mid-project... yikes) turned what was supposed to be a collaborative exercise into an accelerated crash course in what it actually means to lead creative. I had to hold the strategy, write the copy, direct the visuals, and make every creative decision without a sounding board or a safety net. That experience clarified something important for me: good creative direction isn't about having the best individual idea, it's about being able to carry a concept across every discipline it touches and keep it coherent from brief to execution. Tazo Delights showed me I could do that, and it's the kind of challenge I actively look for in my work.
